DBS System develops and sells microfluidic blood collection devices under its patented HemaXis™ platform. The company is producing and selling its first-generation HemaXis DB for whole blood collection and is establishing partnerships with major labs in Europe and the US. It is industrializing a second-generation HemaXis device that passively separates plasma or serum from whole blood, expanding the range of tests that can be run on dried blood spot samples by certified laboratories. DBS System plans to use the new funding to industrialize that second-generation device and scale manufacturing. The company is led by CEO Eric Ödman and positions itself as a manufacturer of devices for collecting and preparing micro samples of whole blood, plasma and serum. It is based in Gland, Switzerland and recently closed a new funding round to support product industrialization.
