Overview
Deep Vector (formerly Loss Scan) is an AI platform that analyzes underwriting documents and automates extraction of data from complex loss runs, Acord forms, motor vehicle records, and business records. The product uses a proprietary algorithm and machine learning to classify documents from a library of 5,600+ carrier-specific formats and translate them into usable data for carriers, brokers, and risk managers. Over 30 of the top 100 insurance brokerages and numerous carriers, underwriters, MGAs, and brokers have adopted Loss Scan. The company is positioning itself as the default translation layer for insurance data extraction and is expanding the platform to support finance, healthcare, and government sectors. Deep Vector will showcase its technology at the InsurTech Spring Conference in April in NYC. Founders Scott Knowles and Wesley Janse van Rensburg previously sold their insurance analytics business Modgic to Zywave, bringing sector experience to the team. Deep Vector closed a $1.5M seed round to fund scaling and go-to-market activities.
