The company's planning algorithm uses semantic maps and handles random scenarios to plan feasible and safe routes, timing of turns, lane selection, crossroads decisions and other driving behaviors. DeepRoute's research centers are located in Shenzhen, Beijing and Silicon Valley. The company raised approximately $50 million in a funding round led by Foshun RZ Capital with participation from GoldenSand Capital, Yunqi Partners, Ventech China and Green Pine Capital Partners. It intends to use the proceeds to continue expanding operations and its business reach.
