Defense Mobile provides mobile service, smartphones and apps tailored to veterans, active-duty service members and their families. Led by co-founder and CEO Brendan Reilly, the company operates a new nationwide 4G mobile service supported by veterans and designed for those who have served. Defense Mobile has secured agreements to run on mobile network operators including AT&T and Sprint. The company completed a $20M Series A financing to support growth. In conjunction with the funding, GrandBanks Capital general partner Charley Lax joined Defense Mobile’s board of directors. The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its distribution and marketing efforts in 2015.
