Delphi Optics GmbH, based in Lübeck, Germany, developed the CS-Cam.burn optical system and advanced it from a lab prototype to a pre-production model. The CS-Cam.burn recognises different skin conditions and enables objective, documentable diagnosis and early determination of therapy plans for burn injuries. During the seed phase the company signed six hospitals in Berlin, Vienna, Nürnberg-Süd, Halle, Lübeck and Hanover as clinical trial partners. Clinical application trials demonstrated the system can close a gap in determining burn depth with a high level of reliability. The company raised €750,000 in seed financing to ready the product for market launch and to build distribution capacity. Delphi Optics is also in the process of raising further capital to support growth.
