The service targets commercial equipment such as HVAC systems, electric pumps, motors, battery charging, and heating and refrigeration equipment. QPACTM is described as secure, reliable, and available for immediate delivery, and it integrates with building automation systems, networked controls, and machine-to-machine networks. eCurv models its approach on digital queuing techniques used in IT and mobile telecommunications to scale service capacity. The company says the service delivers significant reductions in the demand component of customers' electricity bills with no modifications to existing equipment. The funding announced will be used to scale operations and hire new employees.
