Overview

Dig Security is a Tel Aviv-based cloud data security company providing a cloud data security posture management (DSPM) platform. The platform combines DSPM, data loss prevention (DLP), and data detection and response (DDR) capabilities. It enables organizations to discover, classify, monitor, protect, and govern cloud data in real time across any cloud and any data store. Dig Security supports AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, and data clouds such as Snowflake and Databricks. The company received a strategic investment from Samsung Ventures; the amount was not disclosed. Dig Security intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and go-to-market efforts while expanding its global presence. Dig Security builds security tools to assess and provide real-time monitoring and protection for customers’ data assets across public multi-cloud environments. Its platform integrates with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing platforms like Snowflake and Databricks. Product offerings include data security posture management (DSPM), data loss prevention (DLP) and data detection and response (DDR), with a current focus on public clouds. The company says it addresses the fragmentation of cloud data — organizations often run many data-store types across numerous instances — by delivering cross-cloud, cross-store visibility and protection. Dig plans to use the new funding to continue expanding its platform and capabilities. The founders are repeat entrepreneurs with backgrounds at Microsoft, Google, Mimecast and SAP, and the company emerged from stealth earlier this year. Dig provides a software-as-a-service data detection and response (DDR) solution that discovers cloud data assets, adds usage context, and triggers real-time alerts and protections against suspicious activity, exfiltration and employee misuse. The product currently integrates with Microsoft Azure and AWS, with support for Google Cloud Platform coming soon. Dig also assesses whether data sources support compliance standards such as SOC2 and HIPAA. The company was founded by Dan Benjamin, Ido Azran and Gad Akuka; Benjamin previously led multi-cloud security at Microsoft and mentored CTOs at Google Cloud for Startups. Dig says it can surface issues rapidly — for example, it discovered financial reports being copied to an external AWS account within minutes during a recent integration. The startup plans to expand beyond public clouds to protect data across endpoints, email, on-premise systems and SaaS, and to grow its product capabilities.
