DI4D develops advanced facial capture and animation technology used in video games, film, and television. The company was founded in 2003, spinning out of projects at the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Its recent work includes collaboration with Remedy on Quantum Break and visual-effects work on Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. DI4D plans to invest further in development of its facial capture technology and to expand its North American operations. The company announced it has secured a £900k investment to support scaling and accelerated growth. Leadership indicated the funding will provide the financial strength and confidence to scale up significantly and seize market opportunities in facial animation.
