Doral Renewables develops, owns and operates utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the United States, and incorporates agrivoltaic approaches in its development strategy. The company manages a development portfolio of more than 17 gigawatts, with nearly 450 megawatts currently operating and about 1,500 megawatts under construction. It operates in 16 states and five electricity markets and has established relationships with farmers and rural communities to support land use and project development. Leadership remains with CEO and co-founder Nicholas Cohen, who participated in an ownership exchange as part of the recent financing and will retain his board seat. The company recently received a $400 million common equity investment from Doral Group Renewable Energy Resources Ltd. to accelerate project development and move more projects through construction into commercial operation.
