DormNoise is a Cranstone R.I.-based interactive collegiate calendar system that gives students interconnected personal, student group, and campus-wide calendars. It lets users synchronize events to popular calendar applications and smartphones including Outlook, iCal, Google Calendar, Windows Calendar, Blackberry Calendars and iPhone Calendars. The solution addresses the absence of a centralized online resource for personal, student group, and campus-related events and activities. DormNoise already serves as the Official Student Calendar System for institutions including Bryant & Stratton College, Newbury College, and Clemson University’s College of Health, Education, and Human Development’s Living and Learning Community. The company is in the process of closing sales with a variety of other academic institutions. DormNoise will use the funding to accelerate sales, marketing and product development efforts. Prior to this Series A, the company raised three friends-and-family rounds totalling $450,000.
