Overview

Doxper provides an ML/AI-powered data capture solution that lets doctors instantly digitise case sheets using a digital pen and encoded paper, and integrates with existing EMR systems. The company focuses on handwriting recognition and automated data extraction to simplify clinical workflows. It plans to use new funding to expand geographically across India and to invest in technology and R&D, including improving the accuracy of its handwriting recognition engine and building business and clinical analytics products. Doxper currently serves nearly 1,600 independent clinics and 20 hospitals, processing about 500,000 case sheets per month. To date it has digitised case sheets for over 3.25 million unique patients, totaling nearly five million records. The product targets reducing workflow change friction and improving compliance with emerging data and health regulations in India. Doxper provides a smart digital pen and encoded paper solution that lets clinicians digitise case sheets without changing workflows, with proprietary handwriting-to-text algorithms currently in beta. The company focuses on clinical data capture to enable patient engagement, analytics, and workflow efficiency across providers, payers, and policymakers. It serves over 800 independent doctors and clinicians across five cities and has signed three large corporate hospitals in Mumbai and Delhi plus one pan-India super-specialty chain for OPD digitisation. Doxper is building a real-time, cashless OPD network and is exploring applications in public health, pharma (real-world evidence/CROs), and home healthcare. The startup will use new funds to expand its sales presence and increase R&D spend for analytics and patient engagement products. Doxper was founded in 2015 by Shailesh Prithani, Randeep Singh, and Pawan Jain and is based in Mumbai. Doxper has developed an encoded pen-and-paper system that captures doctors' handwritten prescriptions and patient information and transfers the data automatically to the cloud. Patients access records, book follow-on appointments, and share reports via the Doxper app, while hospitals can digitize records by integrating Doxper with their HIS. The company is actively servicing doctors in Delhi/NCR, Jaipur, Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai and remotely supports additional early-adopter physicians. Doxper says over 400 leading physicians and specialists are using its system and the firm is piloting with large hospitals. The startup plans to scale operations and further develop its technology stack by adding machine learning, handwriting recognition and other artificial-intelligence layers. InformDS Technologies Pvt. Ltd. operates Doxper; the founding team includes Shailesh Prithani, Pawan Jain and Randeep Singh.
