Founded in 2018 by Peking University alumni Zhang Linfeng and Sun Weijie, DP Technology develops a suite of artificial-intelligence tools aimed at speeding up scientific discovery across multiple disciplines. Its flagship offerings include Particle Universe for molecular simulations, Uni-Lab for laboratory operations, Bohrium as a cloud research hub and Hermite for computer-aided drug design. Additional products such as RiDYMO (targeting “undruggable” biology), Piloteye (battery design), SciMaster (a general scientific AI agent) and Lebesgue Intelligent Computing (network traffic control) broaden its reach. The company’s technology is reportedly used by more than 1,000 universities and research organizations and 150 corporate clients, including PetroChina and BYD Auto. Co-founder Zhang Linfeng, an ACM Gordon Bell Prize winner, positions the firm’s mission as building “AI scientists” that can automate discovery. With its newly secured Series C funding, DP Technology plans to expand hiring and accelerate R&D on additional AI-driven scientific tools. The startup has now raised $114 million to support these ambitions.
