Founded in 2023, Bengaluru-based Dr. Doodley operates a hybrid model that blends on-demand vet-at-home visits with round-the-clock multispecialty pet hospitals. The company currently runs three hospitals in the city’s Jayanagar, Yelahanka and Whitefield neighborhoods and employs about 35 veterinarians. Over the past year it claims to have treated more than 30,000 pets and performed in excess of 1,000 surgeries. With fresh capital in hand, Dr. Doodley plans to open four additional hospitals in Bellandur, Indiranagar, Rajajinagar and North Bengaluru, taking its total footprint to seven facilities within 12 months. Management aims to treat over 100,000 pets during that period while scaling its veterinary staff to more than 100 doctors. Upcoming initiatives include launching 30-minute vet-at-home services and introducing a flat ₹10,000 (≈$120) pricing model for all surgical procedures. The company’s recent $3.3 million pre-Series A round provides the financial runway to execute these expansion plans.
