Founded in 2016 by Vijender Reddy Muthyala and Manas Ranjan Hota, Bengaluru-based DrinkPrime operates a pay-as-you-go platform that installs IoT-connected RO water purifiers in customers’ homes and charges a monthly subscription fee. The model removes the upfront cost of a purifier and lets the company monitor filter usage and water quality remotely. DrinkPrime’s operating revenue climbed 54% to Rs 72.13 crore in FY25 from Rs 46.81 crore in FY24, while net loss narrowed to Rs 11.53 crore from Rs 14.14 crore. The startup is currently valued at about Rs 340 crore (~$37 million), reflecting a 30% premium to its prior round. Management says the new capital will be deployed in line with its approved business plan, which centers on expanding subscriber reach and enhancing its IoT stack. Prior to the latest raise, the company secured $3 million in a round led by SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd. DrinkPrime positions itself as an affordable, tech-driven alternative to traditional bottled water delivery and outright purifier purchases.
