Dyna Robotics
Redwood City, CA, United States
Overview
Dyna Robotics develops and deploys general-purpose robots driven by its DYNA-1 embodied AI foundation model, which has demonstrated a 99+% success rate during 24-hour non-stop operation. The model runs as a single set of weights that generalizes across hotels, restaurants, laundromats, gyms, and other settings, allowing new units to work “out of the box” without additional data. Within six months of launch, customer robots were operating sixteen hours per day, continuously collecting high-quality data to further refine the model. The company’s roadmap focuses on scaling production-ready robots and advancing the next generation of its foundation model on the path toward physical AGI. Founded by repeat entrepreneurs Lindon Gao and York Yang alongside former DeepMind scientist Jason Ma, the team blends commercial hardware experience with deep research expertise. Dyna raised a $23.5 million seed round in March 2025 and has now closed a $120 million Series A, bringing total funding to roughly $143.5 million. The new capital will expand its research and engineering headcount and accelerate large-scale customer deployments from its base in Redwood City, California.
