The company is targeting growth in offshore wind, floating wind and tidal energy and sees additional applications across aquaculture, fishing and broader marine infrastructure. Founded and led by Dr David Gold and based at M-SParc on Anglesey, Ecodetect brings together expertise in offshore energy, marine wildlife and advanced technology. The business says it is already recognised for eco-tech innovation in the UK and Europe. Following the £490,000 equity raise, Ecodetect plans to expand its team—creating four new roles over the next six months—and invest in scaling its technology and improving marine data communication systems.
