Overview
Ecotrace develops a traceability platform for agricultural commodities that integrates blockchain, artificial intelligence, computer vision, IoT and geointelligence to verify origin, environmental and labor compliance and deliver QR-code traceability. The company serves major agro clients such as JBS, Minerva Foods, Seara and Frigol and has expanded across bovines, poultry, leather, cotton and recently grains via a partnership to trace Kicaldo beans. In 2024 Ecotrace launched Ecohalal (capitalized with R$6 million of its own resources) and issued more than 46,000 halal certificates during the year; it also reports tracking 3.75 million tonnes of beef and over 123 million boxes. Founded in 2018, Ecotrace has raised R$11.2 million across five prior rounds and says it has reached operational breakeven. The company projects 20–30% growth in 2026 and aims for R$60 million in revenue by 2028 as it opens offices in Europe and the Middle East and pursues new segments.
