EdenCare operates a proprietary B2B SaaS platform that integrates artificial intelligence into the claims assessment pipeline to automate fraud detection and instantly verify treatment protocols. By doing so it claims to reduce reimbursement timelines from around 90 days to hours. The company launched its primary insurance operations in February 2023 and has integrated its platform across about 70% of Rwanda's healthcare infrastructure, processing claims for more than 1,300 hospitals and clinics. EdenCare is expanding regionally and already has integrations with over 600 Kenyan healthcare facilities. It targets SMEs that have traditionally been excluded from private health coverage and positions its API-driven approach as licensable to legacy insurers. The recent Proparco capital injection is designated to accelerate its Kenyan expansion and replicate its Rwandan traction.
