Overview
Founded in 2015 in Shenzhen, Elegoo began with STEM education kits and entered the 3D-printing market in 2018 with its Mars resin printer, which became a market success. The company claims a leading global position in shipments of LCD resin printers and is one of four major players—alongside Bambu Lab, Creality and Anycubic—that together control roughly 90% of the entry-level market. In 2025 Elegoo reported revenue of more than 2.3 billion yuan, growing over 30% year-over-year, with over 90% of that revenue from international markets. While resin printers remain a core product, Elegoo is increasingly targeting the FDM segment and has launched the Centauri-Carbon series, including a multi-color FDM model. Leadership, including CEO Chris Hong, has publicly stated an ambition to pursue a top global position in consumer 3D printing. Recent investments from DJI and Meituan are intended to add strategic technological and distribution capabilities to support the company’s product development and market expansion.
