Emidat offers an environmental data platform that simplifies creating Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and provides a data layer for embodied-carbon measurement in construction. Its software integrates with existing workflows and accepts data via API, Excel, or BIM, and its database contains environmental data on over 150,000 construction products accessible via API and UI. The company positions itself as the operating system for environmental data in construction as the EU introduces mandatory building product declaration standards next month. Emidat plans to expand its platform, accelerate product development, and grow its team using the new funding. Founded in Munich in 2023 by CEO Lisa Oberaigner and CTO Florian Fesch, it has already secured leading global suppliers of construction materials as clients, including three of the world’s largest concrete manufacturers. The product targets architects, project developers, and contractors to enable material-level decisions that reduce embodied carbon across building life cycles.
