eMonitor is a San Diego, California-based analytics startup focused on the home energy efficiency market. It provides homeowners with an analytics and recommendations platform that tracks consumption habits and delivers energy-efficiency tips based on actual in-home data. Led by CEO Dean McDaniel, the company aims to help homeowners reduce energy use through data-driven recommendations. In July 2013 eMonitor raised $5.3M in a Series A round from Dominion Investment Group. The company intends to use the capital to expand its technical and marketing teams. eMonitor plans to release its first product offerings in the fourth quarter of 2013.
