Emteria builds emteria.OS, an adapted and extended version of Android designed for industrial settings where the AOSP and pure-play Android are insufficient. The platform targets devices that cannot rely on Google Play Services or vendors' centralized updates and aims to replace outdated industrial OSes. emteria.OS can power ticket-scanning devices, cashier desks, ticketing machines, smart home controllers, video conferencing and alarming systems. Customers receive personalized branding, security updates and ongoing support from the Emteria team. Emteria reports that emteria.OS is used by over 75,000 customers. The company recently raised €1.5 million in funding from High‑Tech Gründerfonds and Runa Capital to support its work extending Android for B2B and IoT device management.
