Overview

Encamp provides an environmental compliance data management and reporting technology platform that combines high-tech solutions with high-touch expert support. Led by CEO and co-founder Luke Jacobs, the company launched in 2017 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. Nearly 200 businesses—including a growing number in the Fortune 1000 and Fortune 100—use Encamp across more than 8,000 regulated U.S. facilities. The platform transforms compliance programs and human processes into a technology-driven system to improve environmental compliance operations and mitigate the risks of non-compliance. Encamp plans to enhance product features to streamline data collection and analysis across environmental media, data sources, and regulatory applicability, and to develop reporting technology for TRI, the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act over the next two years. The company also intends to expand hazardous material and waste compliance automation internationally by 2024 and will use the new funding to further develop the platform and go-to-market functions. Encamp offers a SaaS platform for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance data management and reporting automation. Its proprietary reporting automation aggregates certified information and submits it on time and in the correct format to regulatory agencies to reduce the risk of non-compliance and penalties. The platform verifies applicable state and federal regulations, lets EHS teams sort activity by facility, region, and regulation, and track tasks, due dates, employees, and training via a dashboard and compliance calendar. Encamp positions itself as the first end-to-end product that handles regulatory and reporting variance across all 50 states and is the largest filer of Tier II hazardous material inventory reports in the United States. Nearly 200 businesses, including a growing number of Fortune 1000 and Fortune 100 companies, use Encamp across more than 4,000 regulated facilities, and the company reported revenue growth of more than 800% in 2020. Product updates in 2021 aim to add compliance reporting functionality and expand reporting to new regulatory program areas. Encamp will use new funding to continue platform development and hire in engineering, compliance, sales, marketing, and other strategic areas. Encamp offers a Compliance Platform that centralizes EHS documents, deadlines, permits and tasks in a visual calendar synced to federal and state EHS databases to ensure accuracy. The product gives users an up-to-the-minute view of enterprise compliance schedules and streamlines environmental compliance reporting. Encamp plans to further develop the platform to deliver a more comprehensive view of applicable regulations and requirements for EHS reporting across companies of all sizes and industries. The company serves more than 170 customers, tracks over 10,000 compliance dates and manages more than 2,500 facilities nationwide. Encamp is the largest third-party filer of EPCRA Tier II reporting in the U.S. and has received industry recognition including TechPoint Mira Awards 2019 Startup of the Year and OH&S 2019 New Product of the Year. The company was launched in 2018 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.
