Endoluminal Solutions

Takeda Midosuji Building No. 220, 4-1-1 Doshomachi, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, 541-0045, Japan

Overview

Endoluminal Solutions, spun out of Osaka University and headquartered in Osaka City, is building what it calls the world’s thinnest (4 mm) single-use endoscope specifically for mass gastric-cancer screening. The disposable scope is designed to replace traditional barium X-ray tests, reducing patient discomfort, radiation exposure, and infection risk while enabling large-scale, high-throughput examinations. Complementing the hardware, the company is developing two software layers: an AI assistance module that automates image observation, recording, and diagnosis support, and a screening-information DX platform that digitizes and centrally stores results for hospitals, municipalities, and patients. Together, these components aim to standardize screening quality, lower operational burden, and improve follow-up compliance. The solution targets Japan’s 20 million annual gastric-cancer screenings and sizable demand in East Asia, where gastric cancer prevalence remains high. Financing to date consists of an ¥85 million seed round, and management plans a Series A raise around late 2026 to early 2027 to support commercialization and regional expansion.
