Endoron Medical develops a catheter-based EndoStapling system called Aortoseal to improve sealing and anchoring of endografts used in minimally invasive repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). The company is currently conducting an IDE-approved Early Feasibility Study (EFS) to clinically validate Aortoseal. Sofinnova MD Start’s hands-on company-building approach will include operational support via Cécile Dupont joining the Endoron management team. Endoron was founded in 2019 and builds on an invention from Prof. Ron Karmeli, who is co-founder and chief medical officer; Ronit Harpaz is co-founder and CEO. The company positions its technology against a large clinical need, noting more than 400,000 new AAA patients diagnosed annually in the U.S. and Europe, with a substantial share presenting complex anatomies.
