Overview

Endoron Medical develops a catheter-based EndoStapling system called Aortoseal to improve sealing and anchoring of endografts used in minimally invasive repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). Its stapling mechanism is designed to prevent long-term graft migration and endoleaks, potentially reducing the need for high‑mortality open surgeries. The company is currently conducting an IDE-approved Early Feasibility Study (EFS) to clinically validate Aortoseal. Endoron plans to use newly raised capital to accelerate that clinical validation and advance toward clinical and regulatory milestones. The team includes experienced medical-device operators and clinicians, including co-founder and CEO Ronit Harpaz and vascular surgeon Prof. Ron Karmeli. Financially, the company closed a $10 million Series A to support its near-term clinical development activities. Endoron Medical develops a patented endovascular suturing and stapling (EndoStapling) catheter system intended to improve fixation and sealing of endografts used in minimally invasive repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms. The technology aims to address challenging anatomies and reduce the need for highly invasive open surgery by augmenting endograft fixation and repairing migrated grafts and endoleaks. Proceeds from the recent financing will fund full validation of the EndoStapling solution and de-risk the regulatory strategy ahead of an initial clinical experience designed to establish safety, feasibility, and efficacy. Sofinnova MD Start’s hands-on company-building approach will include operational support via Cécile Dupont joining the Endoron management team. Endoron was founded in 2019 and builds on an invention from Prof. Ron Karmeli, who is co-founder and chief medical officer; Ronit Harpaz is co-founder and CEO. The company positions its technology against a large clinical need, noting more than 400,000 new AAA patients diagnosed annually in the U.S. and Europe, with a substantial share presenting complex anatomies.
