Ener.co focuses on technologies to improve building operations and energy efficiency for existing and new construction. The company offers a patent-pending suite of nanotechnology coil treatment coatings that improve energy efficiency and provide corrosion protection for HVAC&R installations. Ener.co positions its solutions to optimize the environmental and economic performance of energy-converting buildings. In June 2011 Ener.co completed a $1.2M initial financing to advance its technology. Investors in the round include SPK Partners and UK private investors. According to President and CEO Patrick M. Rathje, the funding enabled completion of critical research, development, and testing stages and positioned the company for commercialization at scale.
