Energic has developed a mobile app that gamifies environmental actions, mobilising teams with challenges and eco-friendly rewards to change behaviour in companies and schools. The platform awards teams with items or donations (for example recycled-cardboard foosball, donations to associations, or tree planting) and tracks concrete activities. Today over 200 teams have completed more than 100,000 eco-friendly activities, yielding an average energy savings of 10%. The service has been adopted by organisations including Orange, EDF, IDEX, the Catholic University of Lille, and the city of Boulogne-Billancourt. Energic plans to expand its offering beyond energy to cover print, waste, and mobility, hire eight new staff (mainly developers and sales), and more than double its workforce. The company aims to raise awareness among over 300,000 people across France in 2019 and to deploy internationally by 2020.
