Energyminer
Inning Am Ammersee, Bayern, Germany, Europe
Overview
Energyminer develops the Energyfish, a floating, anchored strömungskraftwerk designed to harness natural river currents to produce continuous, emissions-free electricity without dams. The system operates nearly entirely underwater, is nearly silent, includes a proprietary fish-protection system, and can automatically sink to the riverbed during high water or ice while remaining operational. Generated power is intended for direct feed into local low-voltage grids to supply communities or industrial sites. The company highlights permanent digital monitoring of installations and positions the technology as a source of baseload-capable renewable energy. Energyminer is led by co-CEOs Dr. Richard Eckl and Dr. Georg Walder, with CTO Dr. Chantel Niebuhr, CMO Natalie Rojko, and CFO Rainer Schwarz. With the newly raised €2.1 million, the company plans to commercialize the Energyfish and transition it from development to broader market deployment.
