Overview

Enflux builds a smart workout garment (a top and pants) with embedded sensors and a paired app that provides 3D motion tracking and corrective feedback. The kit includes ten motion sensors for arms, legs and torso, a heart-rate monitor, an SpO2 sensor, a battery with up to two weeks of autonomy (varies by use), and Bluetooth connectivity. The reinforced polyester fabric is machine-washable, anti-odor, lightweight and designed to protect embedded components during movement. The mobile app shows a detailed 3D avatar that reproduces users' movements, offers feedback on form, stores results to an online platform, and enables sharing or remote trainer analysis. Enflux reports working with about 500 trainers to help define exercise baselines and is pursuing integrations such as MyFitnessPal. The company ran a Kickstarter campaign (kits priced from $249 plus $30 shipping for non-US backers), had raised just over $45k by day three toward a $100k goal, and earlier received a $120k investment from Y Combinator; shipments were slated to begin July 2017.
