Ensemble provides a streamlined expense-tracking app designed to reduce tension between co-parents and ensure children’s needs are covered. The product launched in the App Store in 2020 after a six-month pilot that began in January 2020; dual-account functionality rolled out in April 2020. Since launch the company reports strong organic growth and referrals, with users on average tracking over $1,000 per month in shared expenses and roughly 30% of downloads coming organically. The app is currently free; Ensemble plans to use seed funding to begin monetizing via a paid subscription and, over the long term, build a suite of financial and banking products such as shared credit cards with tight spending controls. Founder Jacklyn Rome conceived the idea from personal experience with divorce and built the company while serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Co-Created, with early support from Citi Ventures' D10X program.
