13301 Park Vista Boulevard, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX, 76177, United States
Overview
Entech Solar manufactures concentrating photovoltaics and tubular skylights that deliver both heat and electricity by concentrating sunlight into its cells. The company says its electric and thermal output can generate up to five times as much energy as traditional photovoltaics. Entech’s products are aimed at replacing artificial lighting in offices and schools with sunlight. The business traces its origins to 1984 and adopted its current name in 2008 when WorldWater & Solar Technology bought Entech, Inc. Quercus Trust previously invested $35 million at the 2008 transaction and now owns 54% of the company. David Gelbaum, associated with Quercus Trust, became Entech Solar’s CEO in February of this year and the company recently disclosed a new $6.95 million raise in SEC documents.
