Entefy is developing what it calls the first Universal Interaction Engine, a next-generation communications platform that unifies email, text, voice, video and social conversations into one application. The technology is designed to let users communicate across any device, operating system or protocol, organizing interactions by people and content rather than by disparate apps. Co-founders Brienne and Alston Ghafourifar believe this approach will propel digital communication to the next level and give users the freedom to connect however and whenever they choose. With fresh funding, the team plans to continue product development, expand headcount and prepare for public launch. Financially, the Palo Alto-based startup has now secured more than $2 million in Series AA capital, surpassing the $1 million Brienne raised two months earlier. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the article, but the round gives Entefy additional runway to bring its unified communications product to market.
