ENTROPIX is a computational imaging company developing GPU-powered super-resolution video surveillance technology. Its proprietary multi-layered approach to super-resolution computational photography aims to transcend the physical light diffraction limit and deliver an order-of-magnitude increase in pixel density. The technology targets enterprise and cloud-based IP surveillance systems and is designed to work with commodity camera components and computer hardware. ENTROPIX plans to continue developing its computational imaging software and to initiate design and development of related hardware products to power its systems. Leadership cited in the announcement includes CEO Dr. Michael Korkin and Chief Strategy Officer Nathan Wheeler. In May 2015 the company closed a $1 million Seed round to fund these efforts.
