ENVIRIA offers companies scalable energy-as-a-service solutions that cover financing, planning, installation, and operation of commercial and industrial solar systems, plus integration of charging stations and energy storage. The company also leases company rooftop areas, operates the solar systems on them, and markets the generated green electricity. To date ENVIRIA has built a portfolio of 500 C&I solar projects across Germany and reports a pipeline of 2,000 projects totalling more than 2.3GW. The firm plans to realize 1.7GW of that pipeline by 2029 as part of its growth objectives. ENVIRIA positions its customised solutions as a challenge to traditional fossil-fuel power generation and aims to reduce dependence on ‘gray’ power plants. The company was founded in 2017 by Melchior Schulze Brock. Enviria provides photovoltaic energy solutions and energy-as-a-service products tailored to businesses, focusing on commercial roofs rather than residential installations. Its offering bundles compliance, system sourcing, supplier and contractor coordination, surplus energy management, and project financing into a single contract. Founded in 2017 and based in Frankfurt, the company has developed over 100 commercial projects with an installed capacity of over 50 MW. Those projects avoided roughly 28,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions last year. Enviria says its attention to project finances ensures commercial viability for clients and improves returns. The new €22.5 million Series A will be used to continue scaling efforts and further develop and refine its business proposition.
