Epigeneres Biotech is a Mumbai-based biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes molecular medicines and nutrigenomic formulations for treatment and prevention of serious conditions such as cancer and diseases of aging. The company is the exclusive Indian licensee of Singapore-based Tzar Labs and co-developed an RNA biomarker-based cancer prognostic and diagnostic technology that it says can detect cancer at Stage Zero (before tumor formation). Initial approvals are in place and Epigeneres is preparing to launch the blood-based early-detection service in India. The latest funding will be used to expand lab facilities, scale operations, and develop an AI platform to support the service. Epigeneres frames the test as a potential breakthrough that could change the way cancer diagnosis is approached and aims to be a world first in launching the service in India.
