Overview
Epoxy provides a SaaS platform that helps YouTube publishers measure social interactions and better engage with viewers to grow audiences and create "superfans." The platform aggregates comments from places like Twitter and Facebook and surfaces them to creators, even when channels aren't directly tagged. It also helps creators tailor how they share videos across different social networks and includes tools to clip and repurpose videos for Instagram. Epoxy targets individual YouTube creators (who pay about $20 per month) as well as enterprise customers such as MCNs, traditional TV networks, brands, and ad agencies. The company has about 15 full‑time staff, the majority of whom are engineers. With the new funding it plans to expand headcount, particularly in sales, marketing, and support. Epoxy provides creators with tools to boost social distribution and interact with fans across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The platform includes a search engine built on the YouTube API that surfaces conversations about videos even when creators aren’t directly mentioned. Epoxy also offers a distributable player that preserves monetization while optimizing presentation for each social network. For Instagram, Epoxy includes a built-in editor to quickly repurpose existing videos and publish them without moving assets to mobile devices. The product exited beta and is officially launching today. To date the company has raised $2 million from a group of investors.
