Epsagon builds monitoring and observability tools that began with serverless workloads and has expanded to cover containers and broader microservices environments. The platform offers tracing and metrics for Kubernetes workloads, including native Kubernetes and managed services like AWS EKS and Google GKE, and the company says it is the only provider to introduce tracing for AWS AppSync. Epsagon announced a $16M Series A that brings its total funding to $20M. The company plans to use the investment to add support for Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform in the coming year and to increase automation of tasks that are manually configured today. CEO and co-founder Nitzan Shapira said the company has around 25 employees and plans to double headcount in the next year. Product expansion and hiring are aimed at broadening coverage across modern cloud workloads and improving user experience and troubleshooting speed. Epsagon, founded in 2017 and based in Tel Aviv, provides an AI-powered performance monitoring platform for serverless architectures. The platform predicts performance issues before they occur and gives customers visibility into where trouble spots are located. It helps users understand how different events are connected and enables rapid troubleshooting to eliminate downtime. The company serves customers from SMBs to large enterprises. Epsagon completed a $4.1M seed funding round and plans to use the capital to expand R&D and build out marketing and sales units. Nitzan Shapira is CEO.
