Candidates take assessments of around 25 minutes at the start of the hiring process to create a first impression based on data rather than gut feeling. The product is positioned to help companies increase team diversity by giving all candidates an equal opportunity beyond resumes and appearance. The company was founded in 2018 by sisters Charlotte and Fleur Melkert out of frustration with biased hiring practices experienced while running a recruitment agency. Equalture is based in Rotterdam and emphasizes science-backed hiring decisions rooted in neuroscience. With new funding, the company plans to grow its international customer base and expand its test library of game-based neuro-assessments.
