Its offerings allow hospitals and health systems to access scarce clinical resources when and where needed, including filling ICU intensivist coverage gaps and easing emergency department capacity constraints. Equum also focuses on enhancing transfer center dynamics, reducing leakage through physician engagement, and improving the lifestyle of on-site clinicians. Led by CEO Corey Scurlock, M.D., and executive vice president Brian Rosenfeld, M.D., the company plans to use recently raised capital to further enhance its service model and broaden the reach of its clinician team across the United States and beyond. The fundraiser announced was a $20m growth equity investment from Heritage Group.
