Era Software (formerly EraDB) created a novel time-series architecture based on decoupled storage and compute, zero-schema data representation, and ML-powered flexible indexing. The company’s first vertical product, EraSearch, targets enterprise log management as a lower-cost alternative to Elasticsearch. EraSearch Cloud, announced in private beta, is offered as a managed service that keeps durable data in object storage (S3, GCS, Azure Blob) while providing real-time, lightning-fast log access. Era claims the architecture significantly reduces hardware and operational costs and supports long retention durations. CEO Todd Persen, who previously co-founded and served as CTO at InfluxData, leads product and go-to-market efforts. Era will use the new capital to accelerate product development, grow the team, and expand use cases.
