eSafe Global provides safeguarding software to monitor online user behaviour and cyberbullying within school and college digital environments. Its service-based platform serves primary, secondary and further education sectors and uses detection technology to identify potentially harmful imagery including video, streaming, webcam and static files. The software also monitors multi-lingual keyboard entry and screen content from websites, documents and social media applications. Potential incidents are reviewed by a team of behaviour analysts and, depending on severity, escalated via real-time phone call or encrypted report. Led by CEO Mark Donkersley, the Salford-based company intends to use the £1.95m investment to capitalise on increased legislative, regulatory and political pressures to adopt improved safeguarding monitoring systems in the education sector. The funds will support expansion of sales, marketing and operational teams at its Salford headquarters and further development of its service and technology platforms.
