Esporte Educa operates a technology platform that connects athletes to scholarships at Brazilian private educational institutions and provides a proprietary educational platform focused on soft skills and edutainment. The app (iOS and Android) features a Netflix-like interface, AI-based tutoring, ranking and gamification to reward top students. The company plans to use recent funding for research and development and strategic hires across technology, sales, marketing and customer service. Founded at the end of 2020, Esporte Educa targets athletes aged 10–23 and has built tools to serve both clubs and independent athletes. To date it has evaluated more than 3,000 athletes, placed 540 into educational institutions, and helped more than 80 students obtain diplomas with an average saving of R$10,000 during their courses. With the new investment the startup projects helping more than 2,000 athletes access education in the coming months and aims to add an athlete financing platform to complement scholarships and its digital school.
