Espresso AI builds an AI-driven platform that analyzes and automatically refactors SQL queries to improve performance and cut cloud compute costs by up to 80%. The product plugs into a customer’s existing Snowflake setup and continuously rewrites queries using NLP, program synthesis, and reinforcement learning, with a setup described as under 10 minutes by changing a single connection string. Its initial focus is Snowflake, with near-term plans to add support for platforms like Databricks and longer-term ambitions to speed up compute across the stack from data pre-processing to model training.
