The company focuses on providing the business logic, security, and connectors to JSON rather than hosting cloud data, positioning itself alongside API management providers and mobile BaaS like Kinvey or Parse. Espresso Logic aims to close the gap between database administrators and developers so IT can move faster. Financially, the company announced a $1.6M seed financing led by Inventus Capital with participation from angel investors including Gokul Rajaram.
