Estately is an MLS-based home sales search site that helps consumers find and buy homes online. It differentiates itself with unique search filters — for example, searching for homes near BART stations or by Walk Score — and has launched Estately School Select to let users pick a school first and then see homes in that school's area. Estately works with a network of 200 real estate agents and collects 20% of the commission when purchases are made through its agents. The site currently lists nearly 600,000 homes across multiple U.S. markets including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Long Island, Washington DC, Baltimore and Atlanta. The company reports it is profitable and that traffic has more than doubled in the last six months. The new $800,000 funding will be used to expand into additional markets and add more product features similar to the school search.
