Etteliot

ZONE DU PETIT CHATELIER - BATIMENT 407 357 ROUTE DE SAINTE LUCE, Nantes, 44300, France

Overview

Founded in 2020 by Alexandre Evrard, Nantes-based Etteliot has developed the first autonomous, maintenance-free urinal specifically engineered for tower cranes. The Etteliot S unit treats urine through low-energy electrolysis, separates its components, and converts the liquid into a harmless mist via an ultrasonic membrane, eliminating the need for water, pumps, or manual emptying. The device has already been pilot-tested on roughly ten cranes across France and is compact, easy to install, and self-cleaning, directly improving on-site comfort for crane operators. Originally conceived for vans and recreational vehicles, the technology is now being expanded into the construction sector. Looking ahead, the company is working on a fully autonomous toilet that can also process solid waste with zero environmental discharge. Etteliot employs about ten people and, in 2024, secured €1.4 million to accelerate product deployment and R&D.
