Euklid builds an investment bank that leverages artificial intelligence and blockchain technology to offer transparent banking and investment services with no hidden fees. Co-founded in July 2015 in Rome by Antonio Simeone, Franco Grassi, Francesco di Leva and Mario Giancola, the company currently enables customers to invest in cryptoassets via algotraders linked to Bitfinex and Kraken APIs and supports Ethereum and other digital currencies. It plans to expand into traditional banking and capital markets by partnering with a fintech partner to add checking accounts, debit cards and wire-transfer capabilities. Following its seed close, Euklid intends to move its headquarters to London and establish a UK NewCo and a Reserved Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF) in Luxembourg to enable clients to trade indexes and stocks. The company will keep Euklid Italia focused on bitcoin trading while Euklid UK raises client savings through the Luxembourg RAIF before obtaining FCA authorization to operate as a financial intermediary. The firm has also strengthened its advisory board with Paola Bonomo joining existing advisors including Christopher Pallotta, Ivan d’Avanzo and Luca Marseglia.
