Overview
Eumakh is a curated online video platform focused on K-pop, featuring channels for current hits, popular groups, and live performances alongside a customizable music library and an English-language news/blog ticker. The site is in private beta and uses algorithms to scour music blogs and YouTube for new and popular K-pop videos, organizing them into themed channels. It monetizes through intermission video ads and merchandise sales that use music videos as a sales mechanism. The site currently has 5,500 registered users and 1,800 weekly active users. Founders Johnson Goh and Grey Ang are based in Malaysia and plan to establish their development team in Taiwan. The team plans Chinese- and Spanish-language versions to tap international K-pop markets, with particular interest in South America, and aims to expand to mobile and Smart TV while pursuing a long-term vision of building a media company by curating publicly available content.
