Eurekite is an Enschede, The Netherlands-based company that produces nanotechnology-based flexible ceramics. The material, initially developed at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology (University of Twente), behaves like paper, can be shaped into any position and is not brittle. Eurekite says its ceramics can be used in many harsh environments without the limitations of conventional ceramics while providing thermal, electrical, catalytic and filtering characteristics. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Gerard Cadafalch. Eurekite raised seed funding to continue expanding its technology platform and to bring its first product to market. The raise reflects the company’s early commercial and product development stage.
