Overview
Everalbum is a photo app that backs up, organizes, aggregates and shares users' photos across services like Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, and Google Photos. It differentiates from cloud storage by focusing on organizing and surfacing important moments via features like favorites, flipbooks, throwbacks, and shared albums. The service offers a freemium model with unlimited "high-quality" storage on the free tier and a paid Everalbum Plus subscription ($9.99/month) that includes unlimited full-resolution photo storage, unlimited HD video uploads, priority support, and a physical-prints "Everalbum Club" perk. Everalbum says its premium tier has been live since early 2015 and enough users subscribe to drive the app into the Top Grossing charts on iOS in over 85 countries. The company claims in the past 90 days its users backed up more photos on iOS than any other service, including Google Photos, and reports freeing up 5,300 terabytes of phone storage and 120 million albums shared to date. The app launched on Android after its iOS success, and the company plans to address additional platforms such as Apple TV and VR in the future. Everalbum is backed by $8 million in funding and has a team of 26 split across San Francisco and Waterloo.
